WIKI is a web technology used for collaborative publishing on the web. Wiki is a type of server software that allows you to work with data on a remote server on the Web. Users interact with the software through a web interface that lets them read, edit and publish content.

Genres of wiki sites include: Encyclopedias, Corporate wikis, Fan wikis and Educational wikis.

HOW TO USE WIKI IN EDUCATION

As for me, i sometimes use Educational wikis or Encyclopedias.
I often use Wikipedia to look at the meaning of the word or to prepare some report to the university.
Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.
